WWII German NSDAP Standard Bearer gorget chain with 30 links, this chain is RZM marked with the correct M1/128,  Eugen Schmidhaussler of Pforzheim.  At one time the wearing of a gorget signified an officer that was on duty, but as time went on gorgets were expanded to other roles—in both military, para military, and political organizations for standard bearers; as identity for military and para military police formations, customs officers, air/marine/rail road police, and traffic control police.
