Female Helper’s (Helferin) service brooch Luftwaffe, insanely rare.
It’s the Dienstnadel [service pin] worn by female Luftwaffe auxiliaries. (The letters “LH” stand for Luftwaffenhelferin.) The badge was to be worn on the left lapel of the service jacket and could be worn with civilian clothing as well.
With an order of 28th July 1941, it was replaced by the Zivilabzeichen der Luftwaffe [civil-wear badge of the Luftwaffe] of the type worn by soldiers and officials, i.e. a metal national eagle in the Luftwaffe style.
After late 1943, the auxiliaries’ service pins were discontinued altogether.
