Austrian Deutsche Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei Anschluss Armband.
The National Socialist German Workers ‘Party of Austria – Hitler Movement (NSDAP (Hitler Movement ) or NSDAP-Hitler Movement ) was an Austrian National Socialist Party in the First Republic , which emerged in 1926 from the German National Socialist Workers’ Party (DNSAP) . It saw itself as the sister party of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) in the Weimar Republic and subordinated itself to Adolf Hitler as leader . Initially an insignificant political faction, it developed into a mass party in the early 1930s and was banned in 1933. It continued to exist underground and its members tried to take power through a coup and partial terrorist subversion . With the “annexation” of Austria to the German Reich in March 1938, the party was reorganized as part of the now “Greater German” NSDAP.
